D.A.V. Lakhisarai came into existence in May 2002 in collaboration with Balika Vidyapith. The admission process for the first session began in the same year. At the outset,the school was all set to educate the girls only.D.A.V. took over the charge of Balika Vidyapith along with its infrastructure. In the first year, the school had a students’ strength of 102 boarders
